FOR YOU

Scripture: Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” 

FOCUS PRAYER POINTS

  • Thank you, Lord, for providing a place for your people to worship You.
  • Inspire us to join with our brothers and sisters to offer You our praise and worship.
  • Help us to continue to grow in your Word and to shine your light from Mission Hill.
  • Stir our faith, Oh Lord, that we might dedicate our lives daily to your service.

FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

FOCUS PRAYER POINTS

  • Give us a willingness, Lord, to do whatever it takes to reach the Next Generation for You.
  • Soften the hearts, Oh God, of the upcoming generations so that they accept the gift of your salvation.
  • Lord, move in the lives of future generations so that they choose to follow the commands of the Great Commission.
  • God, begin working now in the lives of our children and youth that they will grow into godly men and women, daily seeking ways to serve your Kingdom.
FOR OUR CITY

Scripture: Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

FOCUS PRAYER POINTS

  • Lord, give us a burden for our city.  Equip us to serve the needs of those in our surrounding communities so that they will feel Your love through our actions.

  • Oh God, we pray that Mission Hill Church will be a beacon of light for Temple Terrace, Tampa, and beyond.

  • Move mightily so that the people of our cities will seek to know and serve You, Lord.

  • And, God, use Mission Hill Church to spread the message of your Gospel throughout Tampa Bay.

FOR THE NATIONS

Scripture: Philippians 2:10-11  “so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

FOCUS PRAYER POINTS

  • We thank you, Lord, for bringing the nations to worship together at Mission Hill Church. We are so grateful that You have given us a church family that is multicultural, multigenerational and multiplying.

  • Lord, will you create in us a desire to serve and love those whom we encounter, no matter their background or our differences.  

  • Heavenly Father, we thank you for those who are willing to go to the nations. Help us to grow in our capacity to pray for, encourage, support and send missionaries throughout the world.

  • Father, use each of us to proclaim and exalt the name of the Lord throughout our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and ends of the earth.

FOR HIS KINGDOM

Scripture: Mark 1:15 “and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand;[a] repent and believe in the gospel.”

FOCUS PRAYER POINTS

Lord……

  • …let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
  • …give us a heart to daily seek the Kingdom of God.
  • …let us be fishers of men and so that we can expand Your Kingdom both on earth and in Heaven.
  • …help us continually to build upon Your Kingdom and not our own.
  • …enable us to do whatever it takes, wherever we are, to shine the light and love of Jesus, like a city on a hill.
